Kalliope takes inspiration from many different genres and artists such as Eryka Badu, Lianne La Havas and Corinne Bailey Rae. Her voice has a warm quality with low resonating undertones. She is an Alto/Mezzo-soprano and her range is from B3 to Ab5.

Education & Experience
Kalliope is currently studying towards her BA Honours in Music Performance, specialising in Vocals at the Academy of Contemporary Music in Guildford. Here she studies along prestigious industry professionals such as Tanya Lacey (Basement Jaxx, Will.i.am, Bruno Mars, Rihanna, Tori Kelly), Giorgio Serci (Jools Holland, Shirley Bassey), Helena May (The Siren Sister, Incognito's). She takes inspiration from many different genres, predominantly R&B, Soul and Jazz but is also familiar with Funk, pop and Musical Theatre, having achieved a Distinction in Grade 8 LAMDA Awards and a Distinction* in Performing Arts at college.
Kalliope has experience working as a Session Vocalist, recording backing and lead vocals for artists and in live performances for solo and ensemble at functions, original gigs and festivals such as the Stroud Fringe. Most recently she performed at the Boileroom in Guildford. She has been songwriting for the last 5 years and during this time she has written for producers, artists and bands. Her band Taepia mainly perform soul/jazz/funk originals or rearrangements of existing songs.
